Within the Group Chief Investment Officer (GCIO) we are looking for a talented and proactive resource to join the team.

Sustainable Investment and Governance is the structure supporting the Group Chief Investment Officer in steering and supervision Group Insurance Companies’ investment process and activities. Within the structure, the candidate will be in charge to support the Head of in the:

  • Design, update and supervision of the system of investment governance (including Policies, Guidelines and Technical Measures) consistent with Generali Group System of Governance and supervise its implementation and developing the
  • Development, implementation and supervision the Sustainable Investment framework of the Group as Asset Owner

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Develop and update Group Investments Policies, Guidelines and Technical Measures (Group Investment Governance framework)
  • Supervise and report to the Group Chief Investment Officer and AG BoD on the implementation at Local Level liaising with BU/Local CIOs
  • Manage waiver and dispensation’s request to Policy, Guidelines and Technical Measures from Group Legal Entities
  • Support GHO (Group head office) Functions assessing and providing inputs on their Policies, Guidelines and Technical Measure which have impact on the Investment process.
  • Support Group Chief Compliance Officer function in assessing possible impact of new regulations on Group investment Governance Framework
  • Support GCFO function to set up and carry out control framework related to Non-Financial Information disclosure reporting duties
  • Support the development of the Sustainable Investment Framework - in alignment with Group Sustainability framework by:
  • Acting as PMO for internal project aiming at integrating ESG (Environmental, social, and corporate governance) and Active Ownership (proxy voting and engagement) into investment decision
  • Carrying out portfolio impact assessment and simulation from new ESG policies under development
  • Developing solution (processes, procedure IT and reporting) to integrate ESG policies into the investment decision
  • Monitoring, supervision and reporting to GHO Functions, Senior management and Administrative Bodies on Group Strategic KPIs on Sustainable Investments


Requirements

Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Management Engineering; preferably with knowledge of Financial markets and institutions (Banking, Insurance and Asset/Capital Management)
  • Solid Knowledge of MS Office tools (data analytics capabilities are considered a plus)
  • Fluent in both English and Italian (written and spoken); knowledge of French or German would be a plus
  • At least 5 years experience in Governance / Compliance / Internal Audit / Operation / Organization Departments within Insurance/Asset Management Companies; alternatively, experience in Primary Advisory Firm in the field of Governance, risk management internal controls and compliance for Financial Service Industry (Insurance and Asset management practice is a plus)
  • Good understanding of Sustainable Investments management and active ownership (voting and engagement)
  • Good Knowledge of the regulatory environment concerning Insurance and Asset Management sectors is a prerequisite
  • Good understanding of insurance products and insurance business model
  • Good understanding of capital markets instruments, including derivatives
